Start 2025 as you mean to go on by connecting with sustainable organisations at our very first Hoole Green Action Fair!We'll have stalls from local green and sustainable organisations including; Chester Cycling Campaign, Hoole Food Market, Hoole Allotments, Cheshire Wildlife Trust, Friends of Alexandra Park, The Narrows and the Alleys and Chester Community Energy.
We'll also have a Clothes Swap and an unwanted Christmas Present swap - so bring your preloved items along with you and swap them for something you actually want!
Repair Cafe will be in residence too so bring along any broken small electricals (such as hoovers and toasters - sorry no microwaves), computers and software or clothes and let their friendly volunteers give them a new lease of life!
Bren Bikes will also be here completing small repairs on bikes.
There will be free drop-in sessions running all day including;
Women's Singing Circle for wellbeing and connection (with Lindy Davies), Movement and Enerchi 'A Mindful Way' with Lee Gosney and a discussion with a fantastic panel including Chris Copeman from the Green Party, Simon Brown from Transition Chester and Helen Tandy from Friends of the Earth.
If that's not enough for you, there will also be the opportunity to have a boogie with our Silent Disco Litter Pick, go on a guided bike ride with Chester Cycling Campaign or go for a guided walk to see some of the things that the sustainable organisations are doing in Hoole.
Especially for children we'll have recycled craft all day in the library plus a special Hoole Young Chefs drop in session.
Drinks on the day will be provided by the lovely Spookton Micro Brewery and we'll have entertainment from Chester U3A Ukes and the Kinnerton Morris Men.
