Venerable Bo Yuan dedicated his entire life to the cause of Buddhism, leaving a profound impact on the spread of Chinese culture in Malaysia and across Southeast Asia.
In 2000, he was the first Chinese artist to hold a major solo exhibition at the National Art Gallery of Malaysia, showcasing his Chinese ink masterpieces.
In addition to his painting and calligraphy, he also published a number of books on calligraphy practice and art catalogues, providing valuable references for research.
