On Saturday, September 27, the Pemberton & District Community Centre will host an evening of reflection and learning to recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.The evening will feature a special screening of Sugarcane, an award-winning documentary that investigates the history of residential schools in Canada and honours the strength and resilience of Indigenous peoples.
Following the film, there will be a Q&A session with Ed Noisecat, offering an opportunity for thoughtful discussion and learning. A traditional Indigenous light meal will also be available.
