Honoring our Pain for the World is a practice of lament and truth telling developed by Joanna Macy as part of her Work that Reconnects. It creates a container for individuals to come together and express their fear, their pain, their anger, their numbness in the face of these challenging times. Out of this container may arise seeds of hope and action to stand in truth for our love for the world. Out of this container we find connection to counteract the tremendous loneliness of our world.We will start with a gathering time, and we will ground the practice in gratitude. During the practice you will be invited to express yourself in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Following the practice there will be time for debriefing and preparing to move back into the world.
