Join us in honoring Karel Gott, a Czech singer and painter. Gott was named the Most Favorite Male Singer 42 times at the annual “Cesky slavik” national music awards, most recently in 2017. Over the course of his career, he released nearly 300 albums and introduced thousands of songs. Often referred to as the "Sinatra of the East," he was a romantic crooner who recorded hundreds of albums and performed worldwide. In 2009, he was awarded the Distinguished Merit Medal by the Czech state.
