Join Harrison County Public Library and Harrison County Arts in honoring local photographer Bryan Moss, who generously donated his immense collection of photographs to HCPL. Refreshments will be served at this event.
With a multi-decade profession in photojournalism that led him across the country and back, gave him two staff Pulitzer Prizes, and many other accolades, Bryan Moss has more recently been spending his time capturing the stories of his hometown. Harrison County Public Library is proud to partner with Moss to invite the public to an exciting preview of his digital gallery of captured images.
The voluminous cache of digital photographs offers views of various activities throughout Harrison County, primarily taken over the past twenty years from the website, Life in Corydon. Attendees will get to relive festivals that have discontinued, remember rival basketball matchups, recall businesses that have come and gone, and so much more.
The Frederick Porter Griffin Center for Local History and Genealogy is also pleased to honor Moss by preserving work spanning his entire career. Library staff has been working to sort, catalog, and curate nearly half-a-million digital images into a gallery soon be fully available in a comprehensive format through the Library’s website.
Additionally at the event, Moss will be offering signed copies of his book, PHOTOSYNTHESIS — A Simple Guide to the Magic of Photography, for purchase.
