Join us at Deer Haven Park for this Family Friendly & Educational Event!
Honeysuckle is one of our most INVASIVE species in Ohio and we are going to HACK it OUT!!
We have gathered over 40 organizations and tons of volunteers to work together to clear 15 acres of this invader from our public parks.
When you arrive at the festival, you will park at Havener Park. Hop aboard the hayride and enjoy the ride back to Deer Haven Park.
If you arrive in the morning you will be able to enjoy Hot Chocolate and Churros from our friends at Dos Hermanos... or maybe you would like to get some Kettle Corn from Yumii Kettle Corn! Or come around at lunchtime to enjoy a full meal from Dos Hermanos!
Visit our tables and booths of many of our local sustainability organizations and learn ways you and your family can implement sustainable practices at home. Check out some pretty cool trucks our vendors use in the field for their lines of work and dont forget to hit the trails to visit all of our Hackers!
Back here you will find our Arborists, Landscapers & Volunteers collaborating to clear the Honeysuckle & some of our friends at Preservation Parks will be teaching you hacks to hack it out of your own yard!
Last but not least you will have to stop to see the real Goats munching away on all of the Honeysuckle! THEY EAT EVERYTHING!!!
