Rooted in American folk and bluegrass traditions yet unafraid to explore modern sonic landscapes. Upstate-NY based duo Holly McGarry and Chris Bloniarz craft lush two-part harmonies and intricate arrangements on acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin and subtle synth textures. Their sound glows with warmth, emotional depth, and the kind of musical connection that only comes from true creative partnership. Their last single, "Phoenix," is a cathartic meditation on grief--an attempt to capture the enormous weight of loss through small, everyday moments. It's an incantation, a spark in the darkness, and a powerful example of the emotional honesty that runs through their songwriting.
Honeysuckle has toured nationally and performed at top festivals including Newport Folk Festival, Lollapalooza, Mountain Jam, Americanafest, Otis Mountain Get Down and Audiotree.
They've earned major accolades, including several Boston Music Awards and an NPR award.
Their most recent EP, Shadow Dance (2023), follows a prolific string of releases: Great Divide (2021), FireStarter (2019), Catacombs (2017), Honeysuckle (2016), and Arrows (2015).
