Learn about the history of honey hunting, beekeeping & using different types of honey.
Sample about 20 different types of honey and compare the different tastes and qualities.
Discover your favorites while learning about the production practices that beekeepers, honey production facilities and honey houses use to bring so many selections to please the palate.
Christopher Stalder is a graduate of the University of Florida and has worked with the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. He is also an environmental scientist, a butterfly gardener, a backyard beekeeper and a member of the Florida State Beekeepers Association. He offers natural history programs around the state on many subjects including herpetology, butterfly gardening and beekeeping.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available to FNGLA Certified Professionals upon request.
Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit.
Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided.
