Join us this month at Wren Haven Homestead for a buzzing good time as we welcome Cher Clary from Beachin Bees Apiary in Perdido!
Children will step into the fascinating world of honey bees and local pollinators through hands-on learning and creative exploration.
During this special event, weβll:
β¨ Explore a demonstration hive and discover the tools and clothing real beekeepers use.
πΌ Learn about the vital role bees play as local pollinators in our ecosystem.
π―οΈ Roll beeswax taper candles to take home.
π Needle felt a bee to add to your nature craft collection.
π― Savor freshly baked honey muffins with tea and locally sourced honey.
π Study bee anatomy and document our discoveries in our nature journals.
This experience blends science, creativity, and connection to the natural world β all while celebrating the incredible honey bee!
Please Bring:
β Your nature journal and colored pencils
β A curious mind ready to learn and create!
β A sack lunch, a water bottle, and comfy shoes for a walk
Parents are welcome to drop off or stay with their children. You are welcome to explore the Homestead with your littles while your older children take the class.

π§π§ Open to children ages 8 and up.

Ticket Price is $50
π Following this class will be a Mommy & Me Class where parents are required to stay and the age cap is 7. There are limited spots. We will start this class off with our demonstration from Beachin' Bees, and end with a short hike. The only difference in this class is there will be no needle felting and I will be printing our a bee anatomy sheet, so no need for nature journals unless you just want to.
This class is from 1:00pm - 3:00pm and is $35.
