About this Event
Welcome to Hon. Paddy Torsney's 29th Annual International Women's Day breakfast! This annual breakfast event started 29 years ago with just a few women coming together in Burlington to celebrate International Women's Day. Our goal was to raise awareness of fabulous women in our community and beyond, to celebrate successes and be energized to do more to advance gender equality in Burlington, Canada and globally.
For 2025, I am pleased that Burlington's own Julie Cole, a recovered lawyer, mom of six and Co-founder of Mabel’s Labels Inc. will be our speaker this year. Julie is an award-winning entrepreneur, best-selling author, and sought after speaker and emcee. No stranger to media, Julie has appeared on NBC's The Today Show, HLN's Raising America, Breakfast Television, The Marilyn Denis Show and she's had articles in The Globe and Mail, Profit Magazine, The Huffington Post, Today's Parent and on numerous websites. An engaged community member serving on boards and volunteering, Julie juggles a busy family and professional life, and is passionate about women's issues including mentoring young enterpreneurs and working on social justice.
Please get your tickets online or pop down to A Different Drummer on Locust Street in downtown Burlington and pick up your ticket - and a book! You won't be disappointed!
See you at 7:30am for breakfast. We'll plan to have you out by 9am.
