Homeward Hounds Event – find your new best fur-iend!

📍 Albion Park Harness Racing Club Yulestar Street Albion Queensland 4010

Join us for:

• Pats, cuddles and walks on leash with adoptable greyhounds (10am and 11am). The GAP team will be on hand to discuss all things greyhounds. If you’re thinking about adopting or fostering, we can answer all your questions.
• 10:30am: Health chat with our GAP experts – Learn essential tips on keeping your greyhound healthy throughout the year. We’ll cover everything from recognising the signs of arthritis to dental disease, simple bandaging techniques and common gastrointestinal issues.
• A children’s Easter-themed colouring-in station will be set up (Easter art and colouring in of greyhound booklet).
• Grab a photo in front of the Easter-themed photo wall to capture those first-adoption moments with your new Easter buddy.

Bonus: all adoptions during the Homeward Hounds event will receive a free bag of dog food and a GAP adoption bag!

We’re offering both pre-matched and on the day adoptions:

Pre-matched meet and greets:

1. Complete our online adoption form before the event telling us about your home and lifestyle. We’re keen to make sure we can find you and your family the perfect match.
2. The GAP team will review your application and match you with greyhound/s that best suit your needs.
3. Then all that's left to do is meet your potential new best friend at the event.

On the day adoptions:

1. Take photos of your backyard and fencing to help us process your application on the day.
2. Join us at the event and chat with the GAP team about your family home and lifestyle.
3. We'll introduce you to some of our adoptable greyhounds and if you meet a greyhound you just can't leave without you can complete an application and adopt on the day.

Remember you’ll need photos of your backyard and fencing. We’ll help you complete the necessary paperwork on the day of the meet and greet.
