About this Event
The Homeward Bound Session is an a capella (instrument free), rousing, fun, totally unprecious and grade theory free sea shanty session that happens across various locations across the South East of England.
Come along, bring a song, or just sit back an listen in...
We'll drink fine ales, softer drinks or more, learn a genuine traditional sailors work songs or ten that are widely known around the globe and have been for over two centuries, and be led by wild shantyman Zackary Mckraken who will guide us all through the night.
With no airs nor graces, we will soak up some of that nautical history of the past, and together we bawl our bleedin hearts out....coming away from it, as if from some salty church, feeling truly roused and about!
7.30pm for an 8pm start
until 10.30pm
Finest ales and wines, and if you wanted to eat beforehand, great food also being served up good.
HB is very proud to be doing our sessions at such this ere renowned folk venue that tis also merely such a walk away from Kings Cross Station.
