4:30 – Lighted Parade, courtesy of WJAG, 106Kix, & KEXL: parade will begin at 7th and Norfolk Ave, leading Santa to River Point Square for visits with children.
5-7:30 pm. – Santa, courtesy of Dusty Korth, American Family Insurance, will be in River Point Square with Mrs. Claus and his mailbox to listen to Christmas lists starting at 5:00 p.m. The line will close at 7:30 p.m. so Santa can get back to the North Pole before it gets too late. Children in line prior to 7:30 p.m. will still have the opportunity to speak to Santa.
5-7:30 p.m. – Hay Rack Rides with Elves, courtesy of the River Point Creative District
5-7:30 p.m. – Live Reindeer between Leon’s & Kookaburra’s Kloset
5-7:30 p.m. – S’mores Stations located at U.S. Bank & near Window World, courtesy of Boy Scouts, AWG, and Hy-Vee
6:30 p.m. – Tree Lighting in River Point Square
7 p.m. – Ping Pong Ball Drop, courtesy of Visit Norfolk
Intersection of 4th St. & Norfolk Ave. Watch for signs on where to gather for your age group. Balls will be dropped according to age:
7 p.m. ages 5-9
7:20 p.m. 10-14
7:40 p.m. 15 & up
Collect balls sponsored by local businesses. If you get a ball(s) with a business name on it, you can take it to that business within one week (December 2nd) of the event to claim your prize. Balls marked with a star can be turned in at the table near the drop site for a sweet treat. If you get any unmarked balls, please return them to the boxes near the drop site to be used for future events.
