Whether your on the homestead or in an urban area, everyone loves a delicious and healthy meal at an economical price! In this Homesteading Basics class, participants will learn how to create soups, stews, and chowders on a budget. We will explore the culinary differences between soups, stews, and chowders and the historical origins of these wonderful delights. Participants will gain knowledge of why these options can be filling yet among the healthiest dining options all year long.
This class will include a tasting of a soup, stew, chowder, and a gazpacho. *There will be both vegan and non-vegan dishes. Recipes are included.
*Participants are welcome to bring and exchange their favorite soup, stew, or chowder recipes. This is optional.
