Homeshores Exhibition OpeningAfter more than 20 years working as a professional painter abroad, Letterkenny native Sinéad Gallagher launched her solo exhibition in Donegal with "Homeshores" at the Lifford Old Courthouse in September.
Now, Homeshores continues its journey south-west to Áislann Chill Chartha, where it will open on Thursday, November 13th, from 7:00–9:00 p.m.
Everyone is warmly invited to attend the opening event.
This new showing marks a significant moment for Sinéad, who relocated to Kilcar with her husband, filmmaker and poet Marc Littler.
Sinéad’s career has taken her across Europe and North America. She has held more than 40 solo and group exhibitions in Germany and Switzerland, and her work has appeared in international art magazines, on album covers, and in private collections across North America, Europe, and Ireland.
In Germany, she also runs her own artist studio and exhibition space outside Frankfurt, where she has curated over 20 exhibitions to date.
Since returning to Donegal in 2022, she has opened a second artist studio in Kilcar and taken on the role of Assistant Director of the newly launched Kilcar International Film Festival (KIFF), set to return in February 2026.
Homeshores will be open to the public at Áislann Chill Chartha, Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., until Monday, December 1st.
Visitors are invited to experience Sinéad’s evocative paintings inspired by themes of homecoming, belonging, and the coastal landscapes of Donegal.
Private viewings can be arranged by emailing [email protected].
Sinéad would like to thank John Byrne, all the staff, and the board at Áislann Chill Chartha for their support and enthusiasm in bringing the exhibition to life.
