Homeschooling 101Want to know how to start your homeschooling journey?
📚Completely confused on what going through a charter is, what a hybrid program is and what the heck is a PSA and how do I navigate getting one!! What if I want to do it all at home, online or both?
📝Brittany Doan, director of Red Apple Academy in Orange County, Calif. will be at our next Speaker meeting to educate you all on everything homeschooling! She will also tell you what the program at Red Apple Academy provides.
All about our speaker:
📚Brittany Doan is a veteran homeschooling parent with four grown children whose journey into homeschooling and neurodiversity began when a routine well-child visit for her first child led to a referral for developmental speech evaluation.
📚Through personal experience and a clear calling from Jesus to build supportive, flexible learning environments, this diagnosis of developmental delay became the driving force towards her passionate journey of learning, advocacy, faith, and growth.
📚Like many parents, she found herself navigating unexpected questions about education, learning differences, and what “school” could look like for her family.
Brittany has spent over 15 years helping families understand their homeschooling options. She has taught and led in homeschool campus communities, worked with multi-age and neurodivergent learners, and helped hundreds of parents navigate their homeschool options.
Brittany Doan is the founder of The Red Apple Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity committed to bringing alternative education resources to families and their children and the CEO and Executive Director of Red Apple Academy, a TK-12 community program whose mission is to empower family freedom in education to Customize Your Child’s Education.
We believe that every family should have the ability to tailor their child's educational journey based on their unique needs, values, and aspirations.
At Homeschooling 101, Brittany brings both professional insight and real-life perspective—breaking down confusing terminology, explaining practical next steps, and encouraging parents who want to explore their homeschool options and seek the best fit education for their families.
