The McFaddin-Ward House Education Department will offer “Speak Your Spark: Journaling for Confidence & Creativity,” a free Homeschool Workshop for ages 8 – 12, on Tuesday, September 9, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Museum’s Visitor Center (1906 Calder Avenue, Beaumont).Students will learn about the importance of journaling for posterity as well as emotional well-being. We will use diary excerpts written by the McFaddin women, Mamie and Ida, for reference. Students will personalize their own journals and be given 21 days of writing prompts to help create successful journaling habits.
Reservations are required as space is limited.
**Please note: This is not a drop off event. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
