Homeschool STEM Club: Grades 3-5 (Year 1)This semester, students will explore exciting Lego Spike Essential robotics, where they'll learn to build and code their own creations! We'll also dedicate several weeks to Scratch, a fantastic visual programming language that helps kids bring their ideas to life through interactive stories, games, and animations. To balance our screen time, we'll also tackle a couple of fun, hands-on engineering builds that will challenge minds and encourage creative problem-solving.
This class is a wonderful opportunity for your 3rd, 4th, or 5th grader to develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and computational thinking in a supportive and engaging environment. It's also a great way for homeschoolers to collaborate, share ideas, and connect with peers!
Class Meets: Wednesdays, 10:50 AM - 11:40 AM
Dates: September 10, 17, 24; October 1, 8, 22, 29; November 5, 12, 19. (Please note: No class on October 15)
Tuition: $90 for one child, $60 for a sibling. If you have two children enrolled in different classes, please chat with Miss Annette about a sibling discount before paying tuition. Our class minimum is 4 students, and we can have up to 10. If your child was in STEM Club grades 3-5 last year, please enroll in year 2 this year.
