About this Event
This 6-week course is for Homeschool Parents (youth welcome 14+).
This runs concurrently with our homeschool program.
The course will teach students basic pattern setup and how to use the appropriate tools to cut and shape glass. Students will learn the techniques of scoring, grinding, copper foiling, soldering, and framing to complete their panels.
Safe practices will be taught for each step of the process and each piece of equipment. At the end of the course, the student will take home a framed art glass panel, approx. 1 sq. ft in size.
- Must be able to stand while using hand tools and light machinery.
- All materials are included in the cost of the class.
- Personal protective equipment will be provided, or you may choose to bring your own safety glasses, mask, and/or apron.
- Please wear closed-toe shoes.
- No short shorts, please. (knee-length or capris are OK.)
Under 18 - Parents and guardians will be contacted via email after ticket purchase and will be sent follow-up paperwork.
Please note that the class fee is non-refundable unless it does not meet minimum enrollment. If this occurs, you will be contacted a week in advance, the class will be canceled, and fees refunded.
Class needs 4 students to run.
