*Register: https://homeschool-field-day-2024.cheddarup.com*When: Friday, May 24th (9am - 12:30pm)
*Where: Last Chance Chapel (6240 Raven Rd, Helena, MT 59602)
*Who: Any K-8th grade homeschoolers in and around Helena, MT (No experience needed)
*Events: Participants will be placed on a team and will go to different stations where they will compete at different track and field style events. Participants will be competing as a team and for individual awards. Just like it is the Olympic Games! No previous experience in track and field will be needed to participate. Children will be taught what to do, compete at all of the events (stations) and will also get to play some fun games.
*Volunteering/ Spectating: Parents and family members are welcome to come and watch the events. Additionally, Mr. Rutt needs several volunteers to help make the event run smoothly. If you are willing to help run a station or be a team leader, please sign up to volunteer. Mr. Rutt just asks that you show up at 8am to be trained in what you will be doing. No experience needed, just a willingness to help and serve the homeschool community!
*Help Bring Additional Equipment? If you have any of the following items, could you please sign up to bring the item to the event?
-Speaker & Extension Cord - Would love to have a loud speaker for some music and announcements!
-Parachute: Not for jumping out of a plane, but for kids games! Haha!
-Tug of War Rope: Long enough for 10-20 kids to be on either side.
-Box of Popsicle Sticks: For counting children laps
*What To Bring: Spectators and Participants should be prepared for whatever weather Montana gives us! Plan on wearing a hat, sunscreen, and good athletic clothing and shoes. Additionally bring a water bottle (we will have a water refill station) and a snack.
*Registration: $5 per participant (cost covers awards and some simple snacks that will be available! HACHE Members fee will be covered by HACHE. Please email me if cost is an issue. I don't want any homeschool child to miss this event because of money!)
*Final Details/ Teams: The final details and teams will be emailed out a couple days before the event.
