Get involved with scientific data collection. Some people call it Participatory Science but we think it's super fun so we like to call it Parti Sci! You'll learn how to identify clouds and estimate cloud cover then learn about the important principles of measuring tree height. Participants will also take part in collecting Phenology data on the plants in our native garden. What is phenology? Come learn all about cycles and how they help us understand what's going on in the world around us. All your data will be shared with the GLOBE Observer network and the National Phenology Network where it will become part of a useful data set for climate scientists all over the world. All participants/families will need to have access to a handheld digital device that can support the GLOBE Observer app. Instructions for how to download these apps will be provided in the follow-up email.
