Ages 7-13Join us for a morning of education and exploration on the farm! For this enrichment day, kids will have the opportunity to expand their culinary skills in true farm-to-table fashion. This is a great opportunity for youth to get hands-on experience with livestock, gardening, and cooking- and have a fun time while doing so. We believe that one of the most important things we can do is help prepare our youth to be better consumers, stewards of the land, and to give them a little more gumption.
Students will first head to our organic garden and harvest their own in season produce. Next, they will head to our pastured laying hens to collect some eggs. After heading back into town, the kids will wash what they have harvested and get started on making their quiches! Along the way, students will sharpen up their culinary skills, including learning the correct way to use knives in the kitchen. Once their kitchen creation is done, we’ll send them back to you so you can enjoy their masterpiece!
