This event is for homeschool families. Family members 3 and older are invited to join us on a 3 hour tour of Shell Key Preserve in Tierra Verde. We offer both single and tandem kayaks. Children under 12 must be in a tandem. Additionally, some of our tandems have an optional 3rd seat for kids 3-6, allowing for 2 children to ride with 1 adult, or 1 child to ride with 2 adults. We have up to 8 single kayaks available, and up to 6 tandem kayaks available.
The tour lasts approximately 3 hours and includes kayaking through Shell Key Preserve, exploring mangrove tunnels, and free time on the island of Shell Key to swim, collect shells, run free, or have a snack.
We hope you join us on this adventure as we immerse ourselves in nature, observe wildlife, uncover shells, and connect all the dots to reveal the unique ecosystem that makes our gulf coast so fascinating!
Reservations are first come, first served. All guests cost $49 per person. This event is scheduled for Thursday, September 25th, at 12:00pm. We have another opportunity available on Friday, September 26th, at 2:00pm. If you have any questions, please ask first.
