There are seven species of woodpeckers that live at Seven Islands during the winter. These birds have many interesting adaptations that make them different than the other birds. Join Ranger Clare for some fun activities and a hike along Hickory Ridge to search for woodpeckers.
This program is part of our monthly Homeschool Birding Club for ages 6-12. New participants will receive a birding journal to keep track of their visits to the park and the birds observed.
We will meet at the Bluebird Barn at 10:00 am. Please wear good walking shoes, dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle.
