About this Event
Welcome to a beginner-friendly homeschool ceramics mini-course designed for curious hands and brave first tries. Over two Tuesday afternoons, students will learn core hand-building skills—pinching, smoothing, scoring, and simple surface design—while creating two finished projects that balance sweetness with skill.
Classes meet 12–2 PM on January 27 and February 3rd at our studio located at 402 Garfield St S.
On January 27, we’ll start with Valentine’s heart bowls: a playful introduction to shaping clay, building confidence, and learning the “rules” clay likes us to follow (so it doesn’t crack, slump, or stage a tiny rebellion). On February 3rd, we’ll level up with a second, more moderate project that introduces sturdier construction techniques, joining multiple parts, and planning form + function.
All clay, tools, and instruction are included.
