Homes for Horses Coalition Conference: Talkin' Horse Sense into Congress
Join us for an impactful event dedicated to supporting our equine rescue community! The Homes for Horses Coalition Conference is a must-attend gathering for professionals in the equine advocacy world. This in-person event will be held at the YOTEL Washington DC and is led by the Animal Welfare Institute and American Wild Horse Conservation.
Get ready to learn alongside new friends, collaborate on innovative program ideas, and share your story. The HHC conference brings together equine welfare professionals from around the country to learn new skills and strategies to find homes for horses, keep horses in homes, engage and educate communities, and better all nonprofit organizations. This year, we will share our equine knowledge with lawmakers on the final “lobby day” of the event, spurring change for horses on a national scale.

If you are driving and will need parking at the hotel, we will have discounted parking at the event as it is available. You may reserve parking with your hotel room for an undiscounted price.
Scholarships: Application Opens June 1
We know that your first priority is providing top-notch care for the horses at your farm and that assistance may be needed to attend the conference this year in Washington, DC. That's why the Homes for Horses Coalition is offering 10 partial attendance scholarships to attend the conference, with generous support from the Humane Society of the United States. A scholarship will cover your conference ticket and two nights at the YOTEL Washington DC (September 21 and 22). Applications will be assessed in the order that they are received based on self-reported financial need. If you are interested in a scholarship, please check our website for the application beginning June 1, 2024.
