About this Event
Join Homerton’s Poet-in-Residence Mariah Whelan for a session of fun, relaxation and creativity. Through a series of games and writing exercises, Mariah will lead participants as they write the first draft of a brand-new poem that focuses on creating strong sensory images. The session is designed for all, from complete beginners to keen writers. Make sure you bring a pen and paper with you in order to participate.
Dr Mariah Whelan is the author of, the love i do to you which was shortlisted for the Melita Hume Award, won the AM Heath Prize and was an Oxford Poetry Library book of the month. She is an editor of the literary journal bath magg and a Fellow in Creative Practice and University College, London.
