To celebrate Black History Month, our "Homemade" series will showcase historic recipes found in different parts of the museum's collection. This edition of the program will explore Black cuisine specifically, allowing attendees to learn more about where different foods came from in Black cultures and communities, and more about the lives of the Black individuals who created these recipes. Attendees will try samples of the recreated dishes. One aspect of this cuisine we'll explore is a Texas staple: barbecue. You will not want to miss this delicious program!
