Homegrown Hope: An Artful Affair🎨
Local Artists Unite to Bring Color, Creativity, and Compassion to Benefit Wendt Regional Cancer Center Patients
Dubuque, Iowa ̶ November 22, 2025 ̶ This Thanksgiving season, creativity and compassion come together at Homegrown Hope: An Artful Affair, a community art sale benefiting patients of the Wendt Regional Cancer Center.
Hosted by local artist Janaan Roberts, the event will take place during the Galena Territory Holiday Market at the Owners Club on Saturday, November 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The show will feature the work of local artists:
Janaan Roberts, Amy Laskye, Andrew Raeside, Mike Reiss, Peggy Jo Brekke, Christina Cruz, Lorna Olson, and Sarah Barnes, Stephanie Schmitz, Rabecca Jayne, Tammy Reilly, Andy Max, Vickie klinkhammer, Bob Felderman
Together, they will showcase a vibrant collection of original paintings, prints, cards, and handmade creations ̶ each piece crafted to inspire faith, hope, and healing. All proceeds will directly benefit cancer patients at the Wendt Regional Cancer Center, supporting programs that bring comfort, creativity, and care throughout their treatment journey.
“Art has a way of lifting spirits and connecting hearts,” said Roberts. “Each brushstroke is a reminder that hope grows right here at home ̶ and through this event, we can share that hope with patients in our community.”
Held just before Thanksgiving, Homegrown Hope invites shoppers to find meaningful, local, and heartfelt gifts that make a difference ̶ art that not only decorates homes, but also helps brighten lives.
