About this Event
The laughter is coming to Owego when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at the John Barleycorn on Wednesday, June 5. Chris Plumer is headlining the show and Alex Brady and Mandalyn Corse are joining host Mike Peters.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and there's a recommended $5 donation at the door, which opens at 7. Come out and enjoy the show.
About the comedians:
Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.
Mandalyn Corse is a fairly new comedian in Binghamton. She grew up in a small town and Pennsylvania and is bringing big laughs to the upstate New York comedy scene. At least she’s getting something out of the fledgling dating pool in Binghamton.
Alex Brady is a comedian from Buffalo, N.Y. He’s a regular performer at Helium Comedy Club in Buffalo and appears on shows throughout Western New York and beyond. Brady lives with two cats and writes brief, generic bios about himself in his spare time.
Chris Plumer’s hilarious takes on his mundane existence will make you forget that on a long enough timeline, we’re all just basically oil. Buffalo’s Funniest Comic in 2019, Plumer works regularly at the Helium Comedy Club and opens for Chris Porter and Rich Vos. He proves the old adage that laughter is the best placebo to hold us over until the ocean takes us. If you gotta go, go laughing!
