About this Event

The laughter is coming to Owego when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at the John Barleycorn on Wednesday, Jan. 8. Brian Enck is headlining the show and Marc Hoover and Eric Camp are joining host Mike Peters.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and there's a recommended $5 donation at the door, which opens at 7. Come out and enjoy the show.

About the comedians:

Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.

Eric Camp got a late start to his stand-up career, but he’s making up for lost time in a big way. A musician and artist who grew up in Binghamton, he brings a lifetime of questionable decisions onto the stage with him. He’s a father of three and he hopes to make at least one of them proud someday.

Marc Hoover got his start in stand-up in 2019 and has been one of the hardest-working comedians in Binghamton ever since. He’s performed all over the East Coast. A member of the Army for six years, a former police officer and now a part of the National Guard, Hoover is armed with a life’s worth of stories and he’s finally found an outlet that doesn’t include a gun and a haircut. You don’t need to salute him. A few chuckles will do.

Brian Enck got his start in the Rochester scene before moving to New York City. He moved back to Syracuse in 2021 and now works at the Syracuse Funny Bone. A regular at Caroline’s, LOL Comedy and other clubs before moving out of Brooklyn, Enck was featured in the New York Comedy Festival.
