Homebrewed Comedy at McGraw Box Brewing Co. (North Syracuse)

The laughter is coming to North Syracuse when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at McGraw Box Brewing Co. on Friday, May 9. Greg Owens is headlining the show and Chris Hasenauer is joining host Mike Peters.

The show starts at 7 p.m., but get there early to get some drinks. It's a free show, so tip the staff super well. Seating begins at 6:30 p.m.

About the comedians:

Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.

Chris Hasenauer is stand-up comedian and writer in Rochester and a father of two. He was born in upstate New York, but came of age near Philadelphia. Hasenauer was a sold-out Rochester Fringe Fest performer in 2018 and a two-time finalist at the Rochester’s Funniest Person contest. He’s performed at the Comedy at the Carlson, the Helium Comedy Club in Buffalo and Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank, Calif.

Greg Owens is a Philadelphia transplant who moved to western New York to raise his family. He’s been entertaining audiences with his sardonic takes on suburban life, teenagers and middle age ever since. He recently left the corporate world because making laughs is way more enjoyable than making money. Owens has featured for Bobby Collins, Bobby Slayton, Jimmy Shubert, Moody McCarthy and Earl David Reed.
