About this Event
The laughs are back at Beer Thirty when Homebrewed Comedy comes to Binghamton on Saturday. Nov. 16. RJ Purpura is headlining the show and he'll be joined by Mike Terry, Jerry Colon and host Mike Peters.
The show will start at 7 p.m. and seating starts at 6:30. It's a free show, so tip the staff extra well.
About the comedians:
Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters performed at the Funny Bone in Syracuse, the Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York City, won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcast, On the Mic with Mike Peters.
Jerry Colòn started doing stand-up in 2023. A Binghamton transplant from the Bronx, Colòn is an open book on stage. Self-deprecating and eclectic, he’ll have the audience wondering what just happened and what’s coming next.
Mike Terry is an established comedian in the Syracuse scene. Quiet until he gets on the mic, Terry is a strong comic who's worked all over New York. A host at the Funny Bone in Syracuse, Terry was a finalist for a residency at Broadway Comedy Club and was a regular at the 'Cuse Comedy Showcase. He also co-hosts the No Name Podcast with Jax-On.
Originally from Rochester, RJ Purpura has been writing and performing comedy for many years and has had the privilege of working with comedians such as Dave Attell, Doug Stanhope, Big Jay Oakerson, Gilbert Gottfriend and Dan Soder. Purpura’s rapid-fire witticisms cover a wide variety of topics, all with an (un)healthy dose of self-deprecation, that lead to him being named the 2017 Funniest Person in Rochester. Purpura has performed all over upstate New York, in New York City, at the Finger Lakes Comedy Festival and the Rochester Fringe Festival.
