About this Event
The laughs are back at Beer Thirty when Homebrewed Comedy comes to Binghamton on Thursday, Nov. 13. Will Purpura is headlining the show and he'll be joined by Tia Mauro, Jackson Garrell and host Mike Peters.
The show will start at 7 p.m. and seating starts at 6:30. It's a free show, so tip the staff extra well.
About the comedians:
Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters performed at the Funny Bone in Syracuse, the Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York City, won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcast, On the Mic with Mike Peters.
Jackson Garrell is a former evangelical pastor from North Carolina who now calls upstate New York home. By day, he writes marketing copy. By night, he workshops VeggieTales jokes at open mics. His material shines a spotlight on the absurdity of faith, politics and their awkward overlap.
Tia Mauro is a Binghamton-based comedian and teacher who spends her days in the classroom and her nights oversharing on stage. Her material covers everything from teacher life, pop culture and navigating your 20s – if she’s tall enough to reach the mic stand.
Will Purpura is a comedian based in New York City. He has a high-energy, positive act that’s fun for everyone. He’s been featured in the Westside Comedy Festival, the North Carolina Comedy Festival, the West End Comedy Festival and the Altercation Comedy Festival. In 2023, Purpura placed first in the A-List Comedy Competition in Atlanta and was featured on PBS.
