About this Event

Incredible Invertebrates

Wed. Jan. 19th, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Students will meet many live invertebrates in this class that will challenge them to consider the important role insects and other invertebrates play in nature. We will discuss lifecycles, predator/prey, adaptations, and more. Students will be invited to create a habitat for a living example of complete metamorphosis that they can take home to observe!

Home School classes are priced for one adult and up to two children to attend. This class is primarily geared for 8 to 12 year olds.  (Younger children may attend but the parent should be prepared to help them with certain activities.)

Instructor:  Sandi Linn, Education Supervisor.

Prior to working at Leu Gardens, Sandi was the Director of Education at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, and then the Curator of Education at the Orange County Regional History Center.   She is the author of Invasive Species, a YA fictional novel incorporating real environmental concepts.
