Explore the importance of riparian areas—those spaces where water, wildlife, and plants come together! Students will collect data around The WaterShed's ponds to determine if it is a healthy habitat. Time permitting, they may participate in a restoration project. (seed spreading, planting, trash pick up, etc.) The ponds are 1/2 mile walk from The WaterShed on gravel. All ages welcome, but this class will be particularly relevant to 3rd - 6th grade students.
