Name of Program: Home School Animals in Winter
Date and Time: Thursday, January 30, 1:00 PM-3:00 PM
Location: Nankin Mills Interpretive Center
Info about Program: Students should each bring a light-colored T-shirt to make animal track prints. Indoors, puppets, skins, and skulls will help us learn how animals adapt to winter. Outdoors, we will look at plants and signs of animals. We will walk approximately one mile on a trail surface of boardwalk, gravel and dirt. Trail can be muddy and/or slippery, some of the terrain is hilly and not stroller friendly. Dress for the weather and wear appropriate boots for the trail. We will cancel only in extreme weather conditions. In this case, you will be emailed by 4:00 PM on the day before the program and given credit for a future program.
Registration Start: December 1, 2024
Registration End: January 30, Noon
Fee: $6 per student. Chaperones are free, but please only register students for home school programs.
Ages: Five and older. Siblings younger than five years are free for this program.
Limit: 25 students
