VIENTO SOUTH is a vibrant Latin and Canadian folk fusion band based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Led by Paulina Gonzalez (vocals, Mexico) and Luis “Lucho” Hermida (guitar/vocals/composer, Colombia), the group explores the intersection of Latin American roots and Canadian folk music, blending heartfelt storytelling with irresistible rhythm and melody. As a duo, Paulina and Lucho deliver intimate, soul-stirring performances that highlight their deep musical chemistry and shared passion for cultural connection. Their shows feature original songs and beloved folk and Latin classics performed in Spanish, English, and French, drawing inspiration from Colombian Andean music, Latin American rhythms, Brazilian sounds, and jazz influences and Canadian acoustic folk.
