About this Event
'Home in Home' is the title of a community art project that unravels what home means to various Glasgow-based artists with different social and cultural backgrounds.
By participating in a series of creative workshops since last September 2024, 11 local artists - all women from different parts of the world, including South Korea, Colombia, Greece, Iran, Ukraine, Vietnam, Pakistan, and the UK - gathered and shared thoughts and experiences of making their own place called home.
The series of workshops questioned and reflected on a universal theme of belonging, home, and individual histories through various artistic activities. As a result of those workshops, this exhibition presents the process and outcomes of ongoing conversations about what home means or should mean to us.
The exhibition will open on Saturday 1st of February 5pm-7pm. Refreshments and traditional finger food from different countries will be offered.
The exhibition will then run daily until Wednesday 12th February, 10 am – 5 pm (closed on Mondays).
