Join us for a relaxed morning at Market Hall Museum exploring Warwickshire's Jurassic past through fossils.You will be able to join in with short sessions led by our group leaders discovering how fossils are formed; and fossil handling with a member of staff in role as Mary Anning. Curator of natural sciences Jon Radley will also be sharing insights into some of the fossils on display in the museum.
There will also be self-led activities around the museum for you to take part in at your own pace, including a sedimentary rock experiment, craft and trail.
Please arrive at 9.45am for a 10am start. We will start together for a short introduction to the morning. You will then have the opportunity to sign up for the led Fossil Handling, Fossil Formation, and curator-led sessions. Self-led activities will be available throughout the morning.
Suitable for children aged 6- 11 years (Key Stage 2 equivalent).
Children aged 6 and over require a participating ticket. Please also book a free ticket for adults and non participating children so we know how many people to expect on site.
Cost: £8.50 plus booking fee per child.
