As members of the Warwickshire Natural History and Archaeology Society the children have to learn about the Jurassic fossils in the Market Hall Museum. Sir Everard Home, of the Geological Society, is coming to inspect the new museum at the Market Hall, and they need to impress him with their knowledge.The workshop will explain how fossils are formed and about the rock cycle before Mary Anning guides your class through a Jurassic fossil handling session, learning the names of fossils and what sort of living creatures they used to be.
There will be the opportunity to observe the fossils on display at the Market Hall Museum and gather information to present to Sir Everard Home at the end of the workshop.
Suitable for children aged 7- 11 years (Key Stage 2 equivalent).
Tickets £8 per child + Eventbrite fees. Younger siblings, welcome. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please book free tickets for younger siblings and adults.
