Explore the technique of ceramics through fun and stimulating activities with Adventure into Art CIC. Our friendly and inclusive home ed sessions are specially designed for children to learn with their parent/carer.
The workshop will take place at Adventure into Art CIC based at Building Block Day Centre CIC . Building Block Day Centre CIC has an onsite cafe that is very reasonably priced.
Free parking is available nearby.
Gemma will demonstrate the technique of slab building. Gemma will then guide you through each stage of the process to create the item required within the session.
If you believe that your child would be capable of working with clay and you would like to be involved you can pay for an additional space too.
The ceramic piece will then be fired within the kiln ready for collection
You will receive an email letting you know when to collect your piece which would be roughly two weeks later.
Then you will be able to take your ceramic home to paint within the comfort of your own home.
This workshop is suitable for beginners age 10 - 16 years but must be accompanied by one adult. All equipment and materials will be provided. (Paint is not provided)
