This is not your standard home defense training. We would rather teach you how to keep the bad guys out, than just how to react to them. This class designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to secure and defend their home and/or family against criminal intruders. You can expect to gain a functional understanding of target hardening and emergency response concepts. The class covers the concept of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), emergency preparedness planning, and the ability for students to secure themselves and/or loved-ones during an at-home criminal encounter.Admin Notes: There is *NO LIVE-FIRE* training in this class. All training will be conducted using provided force-on-force training equipment, fees for which are covered by the enrollment fee.
The force-on-force equipment is optional, but very highly recommended; and those who opt out of using it during the scenarios will not be granted a discount.
For those who do wish to participate with the force-on-force equipment, demonstrated understanding of the function, safe manipulation, safe handling, and basic marksmanship skills with weapon platform of choice is required for this class. Recommended Equipment: Long-sleeve shirts // Long pants // Shooting/tactical gloves // **If you use a bedside gun safe (e.g. for a handgun), we highly recommend bringing it with you.
Restrictions: No open-toed shoes // No slippers, slides, or sandals // No personally-owned airsoft guns or other non-firearm projectile launching
apparatuses for FoF use.
