The Alabama Cooperative Extension System will be conducting a Home & Garden Wildlife Damage Management Workshop on Monday March 4th at the DeKalb Co. VFW Post, 151 18th St, Fort Payne, AL 35967. This four hour event, from 8:30am-12:00pm, will provide a great opportunity for home and garden owners to gain a better understanding of common wildlife pests along with the methods and techniques that are effective at preventing and controlling damage associated with their presence. In addition, plant selection and considerations to reduce and prevent wildlife damage will also be covered in detail. The indoor presentations and hands on equipment demonstrations will cover it all: identification, prevention, hazing, exclusion, pesticides, trapping legalities, and landscape plant selection. A registration fee of $10 is required to attend, which includes a seat at the workshop, demonstrations, printed materials, and light refreshments.
