Distance - 6 miles ish
Ascent - 800ft
Route - This is a steady walk from Holystone, along up to the edge of the wood and then up into Harbottle Common where you can "bag" Harbottle Trig. Return is via Harbottle and we will also visit Ladys Well.
Please note that some of the paths are not well marked and there are some sections where you will have to walk through dense heather and high bracket, also some of the woodland path has been lost to fallen trees and general woodland debris.
Toilets - somewhat lacking, bracken is high and there’s a few dry stone walls!!
Food - bring your lunch with you, we'll stop halfway for a break
Pets - Welcome, you know your own pet, but please keep them on a lead when around farm animals,
Transport - As usual we will be taking the minibus from Amble departing 08:45, limited seats available. Pick ups available along the way

General - There is no charge for this walk, it's free, just come along, join us and enjoy a days walk with like minded people.
Don't be frightened that it may be too much for you, we have all age groups on these walks and we're not on a route march, it's just at a steady pace with frequent stops to enjoy the views.
Groups form along the way, individuals chat, friendships are made.
Please note that this is not an official "organised walk" and we do not accept responsibility for you whilst out walking. Aubrey and I go out every week, often more than once and this is just an open invite to come and join us if you fancy it.
Saying that, we will look after you as much as we can, but you also need to come prepared with the correct clothing and provisions for a days walking in our ever changing climate.
