Holy Week at All Saints’ Episcopal Church
You are invited to join us as we journey through the Last Days
of our Lord Jesus Christ’s life and his resurrection.
Palm Sunday 4/13: A spoken service at 8am; our main service at 10:30am with the blessing of the palms liturgy of the work choral music and the Holy Eucharist.
Maundy Thursday 4/17: our service begins at 6:00pm by celebrating a Last Supper foot washing receiving sacrament of Holy Communion and stripping the altar. At 8pm we will keep vigil at the Altar of Repose for one hour.
Good Friday 4/18: at Noon we remember our Lord’s sacrifice and share from the reserve sacrament until it is exhausted and extinguish the sanctuary lamp. At 3pm an offering of the Stations of the Cross will be available to those who choose to remember the journey Jesus took through the streets of Jerusalem to the mount crucifixion. At 6:00pm a simpler liturgy of prayer and veneration of the cross.
Easter Vigil 4/19: at 7:30pm our service begins as we light the first fire of Easter and use it to relight the candle that was extinguished on Good Friday. We hear chants and ancient prayers hear readings that take us through salvation history; and then we gloriously celebrate the first mass of Easter.
Easter morning 4/20: we will have a spoken service at 8am; at 10:30am our main service we will celebrate with gusto the Resurrection of our Lord.
We invite you to take part in some or all of our Holy Week remembrances.
