About this Event
Historically, in many cultures, gender-diverse individuals have been associated with the divine. Our divinity does not come from an outward source; it comes from within and from our own experiences. Whether or not we consider ourselves spiritual or religious, everything we do is divine. This show will give viewers an opportunity to see what it means to be transgender, intersex and non-binary, surviving and thriving in The Bible Belt. Many of us have had traumatic experiences with organized religion; this show is meant to take back the spiritual and physical space that history has tried to erase from us. As divine beings, this show is an offering to our trans and non-binary ancestors. May we live, thrive and honor them.
