lthough a classically trained psychotherapist, Dr. Rogan seeks to leverage his experience as a world record swimmer and Olympic medalist by applying clinical methods in unconventional and unique settings. As Dr. Rogan puts it: “In our work together, you may be standing on top of a mountain, reflecting on challenges you conquered. You may be in a dark cave underwater asking yourself about the value of the next breath. You may be in a survival camp in the middle of a Mexican desert and challenged to feel the power, the pain, and the collateral beauty of the present moment.” Dr. Rogan also works with some clients in a traditional setting (private room, couch, box of tissues) in Beverly Hills.
After graduating from Stanford University, Dr. Rogan spent three years at UCLA’s department of psychology researching performance psychology. He then served as Director of a residential mental health and SUD treatment facility, before starting his own private practice. Along the way, Dr. Rogan also served as Director of Sport Psychology for the Brazilian Olympic Team and Performance Psychologist for the Israel Football Association and as a consultant to Harvard Medical school, the Mercedes Benz Formula 1 team and the Seattle Seahawks.
Dr. Rogan has a longstanding interest in alternative and emerging treatment modalities including the utilization of psychedelics.
