Black & Asian Mental Health Support Group event to connect people to share, learn, discover and overcome together
About this Event

A positive atmosphere within a family, such as open communication, connectedness and nutrition contributes to creating safe spaces for honest conversations on feelings, belonging, issues faced and overall contributes to improving mental health. With culture, 1st or 2nd generation, traditions, 'old school', 'new school', expectations, racism, colourism, status and everything else in the mix- it's hard to cope! Now, no family or family relationship is perfect, but are you up for a chance of discovering a holistic wellness approach with a loved one?

This event, we are so excited to have Jermaine & Mariyha, founders of Jam Zone Wellbeing Hub, open the doors for loved ones to come together on a holistic wellness journey, in a group setting to connect with their loved ones on a deeper level. So grab your child(ren), brother, sister, guardian, chosen family or whoever represents 'home' and 'family' for you- and join other folks on the journey, together.

The event will guide families to engage in activity & discussion on 4 main points:

  • 'Communication' for family - the power of positive affirming, setting aside egos & hearing each other.
  • Decluttering inside & out- identifying habits & nutrition
  • Physcial activity- take part in light exercise and release those happy hormones with a loved one
  • Mental Wellness - awareness of common mental health problems & symtoms and discovering ways to support each other

Venue to be confirmed shortly.
